Food 4 Less location now Homeland Foods

The Food 4 Less store at 2300 Mitchell Ave. was the last of the chain to change its storefront. The bright yellow and black signs have given way to red, white and blue Homeland Foods.

Homeland Stores of Edmond, Okla., took ownership of all three St. Joseph Food 4 Less stores at the beginning of the year, but two were transformed to Price Chopper stores in March.

The Mitchell location was the last to see changes. All three stores employ about 400 people in St. Joseph. Price Chopper has 43 stores in the Kansas City area and converted four Food 4 Less stores in Topeka, Kan.
